Mothecombe class are learning about Vikings this term. We linked this to our learning on Monday afternoon at beach school. First the children played a game about Jarls and Thralls. In the time of the Vikings, the Jarls had wealth and included noblemen while the Thralls were slaves. The children worked in teams to try and get people from the other side. Then we looked at the Viking alphabet, called runes. We made comparisons between them and could see that some letters were similar but some were completely different.
