Art and eco focus for Wonwell class.

Wonwell class linked their Beach School learning to Art this week. First we played some team games. Then we talked about different modes of transport when people go on holiday and how we could represent these in the sand. The children worked together in teams to create aeroplanes, trains, submarines; we even had Eurostar in the channel tunnel! They used natural materials to decorate them and worked closely together to share ideas. Then we used sieves and our fingers to find nurdles in the sand and took them back to School. Nurdles are tiny bits of plastic used to make plastic products that sadly end up in our oceans and on our shores. The children are very dedicated to the eco work  we do and and are desperate to collect more on our next visit. We are proud to be inspiring the next generation.
