While the Year 6 children had a day out today, the rest of the school had an outdoor learning day. The children worked together on a project based on 'The Lost Words' by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris. It is a stunning book  of art work and poetry with words that have been 'lost' and taken out of dictionary use. They are all nature words, which our children found horrifying. They went on a trail around the school grounds to find words and pictures, wrote group poems and used watercolours to re-create images from the book. It was fantastic to see such team work, respect and co-operation from children across the school. Please click here to see more photos.
