Outdoor Learning Day in Mothecombe Class
Leaves! The bane of Mr Coggins' life; potential artwork for KS2.
To celebrate Outdoor Learning Day, KS2 explored maths and art outdoors. Inspired by the work of Andy Goldsworthy (an artist well known for his work with natural materials), we headed outside, collected different colour/shade leaves or stones and tried to create our own artwork. The children did absolutely amazingly!
After break, we went outside for some super fun maths. Indoors, we created large angle-measurers, catapults using our chairs, and finally a projectile! We took them outside and tried to find out at what angle we had to fire the projectile for it to go the furthest.
