Learning with food!
This week Wonwell class used food to support their learning. We looked at the properties of bread dough in Science and used language such as stretchy, squishy, bend, pull, squash and roll to describe what they could do with it. We had a competition to see who could make their dough the longest.
In DT we made rice crispy cakes. We chopped marsh mallows and talked about how they are a solid but not hard. Mrs Mitchell melted butter with the marshmallows and we stirred the mixture with rice crispies. Then the chocolate was melted and drizzled over the top. We talked about how heat can turn a solid into a liquid and the cold fridge can make it a solid again. Please click here to see more photos.
